What documents are needed for a .bd domain?
BTCL usually asks for a copy of the applicant NID or passport, and for organizations a trade license or registration certificate. Requirements can change, so we confirm the exact list when you order. [Confirm current BTCL requirements.]
How long does .com.bd registration take?
International domains like .com activate within minutes. Bangladeshi .bd domains are approved manually by BTCL and usually take [1 to 3 working days] after documents are verified.
Is a .com.bd domain better for SEO in Bangladesh?
A .bd domain tells Google your site targets Bangladesh, which can help in local results. A .com works well too. Good content and a fast server matter more than the extension alone.
Can I get a free domain with hosting?
Yes. Eligible yearly hosting plans include a free domain for the first year. Renewal in later years is charged at the normal domain price.
Can I transfer my domain to BestHosting BD?
Yes, for .com, .net, .org and most international domains. Unlock the domain at your current registrar, get the EPP code and start the transfer here. Transfers usually add one year to your expiry date.
What happens if my domain expires?
Your website and email stop working. Most domains have a short grace period for normal renewal, then a redemption period with an extra fee. Turn on auto renew to avoid losing your name.
Do you offer WHOIS privacy?
Yes, free WHOIS privacy is available for supported international domains. The .bd registry does not offer privacy protection.
